There's an old soul acting like a little boy.
Chasing rainbows, but somehow they don't bring him joy.
And now he's giving up, though he never really tried. Want's to heal his heart, but he can't give up his pride.

Claims he knows love, though I've never seen him care. Caught the white dove and caged it in despair. And now he's heating up his twisted little mind. Drinks from the devil's cup, leaving everyone behind.

The mountain is a castle for his wishes to be heard. Crying out the orders to the bushes and the dirt. Finally finds himself between the sky and touch of hell. Stepping to this plain world he hides within his shell.

Maybe he's a story much too sad to tell,
saw his days of glory, saw him doing well. Bit he was heating up his twisted little mind, drank from the devil's cup, so they all left him behind.
